1- Figure Out What To Buy
Make a list of the features you must have in your home and add the features you would really like but are not essential. Having an idea of what you are looking for before you start will save you a lot of time and help you make a better decision. For our buyers we offer a portal into the MLS System. It’s your own personal window into the Multiple Listing Service and all of the updates are in real time. You are able to find out about price changes, status changes new listings etc as soon as they occur by simply logging in to your account. You may also save favorites possibilities and not so favorites . This system also allows you to message us directly from your portal so you don’t have to make a separate trip to your e-mail.

2- Figure Out Where To Live
What is important about the community you live in? Is it the price of housing? Are highly rated schools important? Do you need to live close to work? Are parks, the beach or recreational facilities important? Other factors? You can research all of these questions on our site.

3- Figure Out How To Pay For It
Getting pre-qualified before you start looking at property can give you a big advantage. Pre-qualification, usually is free. You discuss your information including income, expenses, employment history and credit situation with a lender and the lender will tell you a mortgage amount that you qualify for. An even better idea is to be pre-approved, which involves a little more indepth information. A pre-qualified buyer is a stronger buyer because the uncertainty of whether a buyer can mortgage is not an issue for sellers. There are many different financing plans for different circumstances.

6- From Contract to Closing
Once your contract is accepted, we will make sure you get a copy of the contract. We will recommend building inspectors, lenders, lawyers and any trades people you need to help you close the transaction. We will help you arrange a building inspection to make sure that the house is safe and sound. We will follow up on the mortgage and keep up with the details along the way. I will accompany you on a pre-closing walk through of the property you bought to make sure it is in the same condition it was when you purchased it and to determine that any required repairs were completed. I will be with you at closing.
